The Doctor is in...
Question #1: Every week it seems I have this tough decision. Who do I start this week, Chris Johnson or Maurice Jones-Drew. Should be looking to trade one of these guys for another position or is best to just keep someone else from getting them even if I'm not using one that week? - Jack M., ATF, Kansas City, MO
Jack: First of all, Dr. Roto is still trying to figure out how you got two studs like that on your team in the first place! Secondly, I don't think you can go wrong with either guy. Take a look at the weekly matchups to see who has a better chance of shining for the week. As to whether or not you should trade one of them...you should get a king's ransom for either RB. If you can get a deal that puts you over the top, then you have to consider it. If not, hoard both guys and let the other owners suffer.
Question #2: Is Ricky Williams worth now worth a starting roster spot? My alternative is Ladell Betts. - Michael, Postal Worker, Santa Clara, CA
Michael: Did you see Ricky Williams last night? He was terrific. He is well worth a roster spot. Betts is solid, but Washington has a terrible offense and Portis may come back in a week or two. Go with Ricky and don't think twice about it.
Question #3: Please explain to my dad Robert that Matt Schaub is better than Jay Cutler. I don't seem to be getting through and I can't take the ignorance anymore. Perhaps the good Dr. can get through to him. - Alan, Customs Warehouse Officer, Dallas, TX
Dear Alan's Father,
Dr. Roto is writing you this letter on the bequest of your son, Alan. He mentioned to me that you believe that Jay Cutler is a better QB than Matt Schaub. Sir, I know that we have never met, but I must tell you that, "YOU ARE OUT OF YOUR MIND!!!". Matt Schaub is more consistent than Cutler will ever be, and if he can stay healthy, should produce at least 5-10 TD passes more than Cutler. If the question was, "Who is the quarterback that throws into double coverage the most and hurts his team's chances of winning each week?", then Cutler would be the correct answer.
Roto Forever, Dr. Roto
Question #4: Who is the more valuable fantasy Colts receiver, Reggie Wayne or Dallas Clark? - Chris, Office of Home Land Security, Washington, DC
Chris: Great question! Bill Polian has said recently that the Colts MVP this year has been Dallas Clark. Dr. Roto would have to agree. Clark has sure hands, runs great routes, and is a terrific blocker. Without him the Colts would surely not be undefeated.
Question #5: Would you keep riding the Favre wave or do you think a blow-game is inevitable (my other option is Aaron Rogers believe it or not.) - Andrew, US Post Office, Lake Placid, NY
Andrew: While Dr. Roto likes Favre, he doesn't trust Favre. Favre doesn't need to throw the ball 40 times a game anymore (especially with Adrian Peterson there). Some games Brett will be great, but others he will be mediocre. Dr. Roto loves Rodgers as a fantasy QB. He throws TD passes galore, and also runs for a few yards as well. Watch the matchups to determine your start each week.
The Doctor is out...
If you haven't voted in our poll on the site yet please do so. We are trying to get a feel for how our readers are looking at the game of NCAA Football so we can write about things they want to hear. The poll question is, "Do you think the NCAA should have a Playoff to determine the National Champion rather than the BCS / Bowl System?" - Please vote.
Firefighters, you're up next. If you are a Fireman your questions will be answered in Dr. Roto's next weekend post. Please send in your questions by 12 noon on Friday, Nov. 27th.
