cerratoDespite the beat down the Giants put on the Redskins Monday night (which should have been expected), there is still much to look forward to in the nation's capital.

VINNY CERRATO IS GONE!

One of the main problems with the organization has finally been taken care of. Cerrato, who held the ridiculous title of "Executive Vice President of Football Operations," can't embarrass and damage the franchise anymore.

I have never seen one topic be discussed on every ESPN show throughout the day and listen as everyone reaches the same conclusion. Vinny had to go.

Not only did Cerrato "resign," but owner Dan Snyder hired an actual General Manager. Snyder hired Bruce Allen, son of legendary Redskins coach George Allen, to take over and turn the Washington D.C team into a real contender.

For the first time since Dan Snyder bough the team, the Redskins are moving in the right direction. That is, if Dan Snyder can stay out of the way.

With that said, let me give one final farewell to the dreadful legend that was Vinny Cerrato.

redskinsHe was the definition of a putz. A fool. Cerrato was full of excuses. He couldn't make it through a press conference without sweating more than Shaq at the free throw line. Cerrato, who stated that he gave coach Jim Zorn the "keys to a playoff team," simply doesn't know what it takes to make a playoff roster. He never did. Cerrato proved time after time that he should not be employed in the NFL.

And his "resignation" proved what kind of man Cerrato really is: an incredibly sore loser. When Cerrato left Jim Zorn off of his short list of coaches he said he had the pleasure of working with, that's all anyone needs to know about him. Cerrato wasn't man enough to admit that he was wrong when he said he gave Zorn a playoff roster. He wasn't man enough to admit that Zorn was and is a bigger man than he will ever be after Zorn didn't run away when his play calling duties were stripped from him. And now Redskins fans don't have to put up with the countless excuses and beads of sweat Cerrato constantly produced.

Farewell Vinny. - Michael Klopman

If you haven't voted in our poll on the site yet please do so. We are trying to get a feel for how our readers are looking at the game of NCAA Football so we can write about things they want to hear. The poll question is, "Do you think the NCAA should have a Playoff to determine the National Champion rather than the BCS / Bowl System?"Please vote.
