These are pretty much in the order that I would place them with one exception. I think the Jets at 50-1 is way off. It's hard to justify putting the team with the best defense and best running game at 50-1 no matter how bad the offense is. 25 or 30-1 would be more appropriate. In a single elimination tournament where they only have to win four games, if the defense gets on a roll and the offense doesn't turn the ball over anything can happen. What if Sanchez all of a sudden starts throwing balls to his team instead of the other team? What if the special team creates a touchdown or two? Anything can happen and at 40-1 it just makes sense to throw $5 on them.

The Colts are favorites because of Peyton Manning. I don't think they are the best team but then again I wouldn't bet against Peyton Manning in a game either.

And how do you not put something on the Chargers at 4-1? They are listed as the third best team but you have the potential to win four times your money! They are arguably the best team in the tournament at this point in the season and a great risk / reward.

You can make an argument that the Vikings could beat anyone if they played their "A" game each week, so 7-1 isn't bad there.

If the Eagles didn't get blown out last week (even if they lost) I think they would be 11-1 with Cowboys. That's a free 7 percentage points the way I look at it.

I think everyone else is pretty much where they should be.

Keep in mind that a Wild Card Team has won the Super Bowl three out of the last four years, so just plunking down money on the "best teams" hasn't worked so well lately. Conversely, you've been able to make some pretty good money taking an underdog. - Robert Fairchild

If you haven't voted in our poll on the site yet please do so. We are trying to get a feel for how our readers are looking at the game of NCAA Football so we can write about things they want to hear. The poll question is, "Do you think the NCAA should have a Playoff to determine the National Champion rather than the BCS / Bowl System?"Please vote.
